Mark E. Kellogg attended Hillsdale College, where he graduated Valedictorian and he then attended Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he received his law degree. Mr. Kellogg has devoted over 30 years of practice to the needs of family and closely-held businesses and enterprises, business succession, commercial lending, and estate planning. In addition to having a wide breadth of experience practicing law, Mr. Kellogg is a certified public accountant. This skillset gives his clients unique insight into business and tax matters.
Mr. Kellogg is a member of the State Bar of Michigan where he currently serves as a member of the Probate and Estate Planning Council and Business Law Council, and the Ingham County Bar Association, where he has served in the role of Treasurer, Vice President and President. Mr. Kellogg has served as the President of the Michigan Chapter of the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants, and serves on the Board of the international organization of Attorneys for Family-held Enterprises (AFHE). He has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Lansing Estate Planning Council. Currently, he serves as the Vice President at Fraser Trebilcock.
Mr. Kellogg has assisted his estate planning clients with cottage and legacy property planning, and more recently has worked on cottage succession planning with David S. Fry with the goal of ensuring the seamless transition of Mr. Fry’s Cottage Law practice. Mr. Kellogg’s three decades of experience dealing in all facets of succession planning, as well as being a prominent business leader in the Greater Lansing area, bring a unique perspective to his clients and the cottage law practice.
